Matadero and Madrid Río
Matadero Madrid is the 1920s municipal slaughterhouse in Legazpi turned into free galleries, a cinema and a design market. Madrid Río is the park along the Manzanares built on top of the M-30 motorway, put underground in 2007; the 17th-century Puente de Toledo and the Puente de Segovia cross it.
When: All year; Matadero is free, closed Mondays. Sunday afternoon on Madrid Río is the local walk.
