Kilómetro Cero at Puerta del Sol
Puerta del Sol has a stone plaque in front of the old post office, the Casa de Correos, marking kilometre zero of Spain's six radial roads. The bear and the strawberry tree, El Oso y el Madroño, is the city's coat of arms and stands at the east side of the square. The clock on the Casa de Correos is the one the whole country watches at New Year for the twelve grapes.
When: All year; the plaque is busiest at dusk. The Casa de Correos clock is the New Year one.
