Chocolatería San Ginés is in the Pasadizo de San Ginés, an alley off Calle Arenal, serving churros and porras with thick hot chocolate since 1894, open 24 hours. The porra is the fat one, the churro the thin loop. Locals go at six in the morning after a night out; tourists go at eleven.
When: All year, 24 hours. Cold months are the point; the queue is 11:00 to 13:00, none at 07:00.
