Andén 0, the ghost station at Chamberí
Chamberí station on line 1 was shut in 1966 because the platforms were too short for the new trains. It reopened in 2008 as a museum called Andén 0: the original 1919 tiled adverts, the wooden ticket booth, and trains still pass through without stopping. Free, on Plaza de Chamberí.
When: All year. Free; Thursday and Friday afternoons and weekends, closed in August. Stand there for a train passing without stopping.
